The 987 mount is indeed interchangeable. I have heard though that 97 and 98 Boxsters require some modification for the updated styles though. Even though you have 37k on it, keep in mind the rubber is 8 years old for your car, and it can degrade over time. Definitely consider your mount, because I noticed shifts were no longer jerky after servicing mine.
