The chip sounds too good to be true. Not even bomarcher or softronic, tuned with aftermarket exhaust and intake in mind which run in the thousands, can free that much. I am however interested to see what this chip does when installed. Being skeptical, I would not be surprised if it does nothing to very little.

Going back to what OP said, has anybody installed or used this upgrade before?

Its garbage. All it is is a resistor that fools the ECU into thinking the car is cold so it injects more fuel, supposedly giving more HP. It will probably do damage to the motor.

All I can say is save up and buy the hp from Porsche. As much as I like mods and individualism, it's a sweet treat to already have more power than I can legally use, I never want for more acceleration in my car, it's perfect.

You don't get something for nothing, so a $70 chip might end up costing you dearly somewhere else.

I don't think the things that a $70 chip can damage are less than the price of a cataliytic converter or a trashed engine.

Don't bother with the chips that fool the ECU into doing stuff it does not want to do.

Get a proper remap of the curves to suit your mods.

Its always best to get a higher displacement engine that is designed to handle the additional stress, rather than take a smaller one and try to push it to the limits.

Sooner rather than later something is going to break.

If you want max HP, buy a IMS failed Boxster and put a 3.6l in it and then you will only need half the pedal travel so you can keep up with the car.

Here is the story of a 3.6l Boxster 3.6L Boxster GT Racer

"Cough" That is a funny coincidence. I just offered the Brooklyn Bridge up for sale this week at exactly the same price.

PS. If it looks like steer manure, smells like steer manure, tastes like steer manure... it's steer manure.

In order to obtain maximum benefit, one has to use their high performance air intake as well .

Nope, strictly cash and carry. The official deed of trust does have beautiful simulated gold leaf scrolling with the finest detail though.

Is it an air intake or an entrance to hell for a gerbil?

Now that is some sweet technology there. I'll soon be posting a DIY on how to cannibalize the motor out of an old "Rainbow Vac" and install it in the intake of a Desnorked Boxster intake. Should be good for 60HP easy on my 02 S...

Guys with Porsche cars, one of the most sought after cars on Earth, fantasy of young men, talking about modifying them because of a need for speed. Don't you guys realize this is why the terrorists hate us?

I don't think this is Rainbow Vac you're speaking of. The technology is actually way more complicated than that.
