what is the rms. I know about the interm. shaft.

if you look at the tarns by its self. you will see a place where the cv joint is bolted on to the trans that is call the output shaft from the trans. this may be a BMW term but that is what I know for now

RMS = Rear Main Seal

IMSB = Intermediate Shaft Bearing.

Mileage? Year? Model? If your getting any noise at the rear of the engine, I would isolate it with a stethoscope. A member recently found the cause of his squealing to be a loose spark plug. However, it could be a number of things...
