I quarantined myself in the garage this morning to change out my spark plugs and tubes.
Previous Owner had Bosch Platinum 4s, no idea how old. I went with NGK G-powers.
The plug tubes came out by hand. No boat plug or "special" tools. The new ones were harder to push back in than the old ones were to pull out. I wonder if anyone else has had the same experience? Assume that the orings had shrunk with age maybe?
Bad news is that all my coils have small cracks, so I'll get those on order. I'll be back under there to do the water pump and thermostat soon. Those part are already waiting on my shelf.
Thanks again for all the good advise and guidance on this here forum I'm really enjoying this boxster rehab.
If your motor mount needs replacement... do it the same time as the WP. It makes the WP installation a breeze.

Good tip! I did the motor mount last spring and should have done the WP at the time! Oh well.......

Haha. Right! I must have picked it up on the road some where, I dont have anything that caliber. It looks like it has been in my tire for a few drives too. I doubt it would have went off, but still a little concerning. Haha.
I took out the rock chips in my front bumper with a bit of touch up paint. Spent about an hour in all, pretty happy with the results.
I had planed to have the whole car detailed / polished on Monday, but had to cancel due to schools being closed for quarantine. Will be rescheduling the detail soon as I can. Hope is that any unevenness from my touch up paint will be taken out in the polish / detail.
Once it is all done I will post the end results.

Sorry about the lighting difference the sun was going down when I took the last one.
Yesterday I installed my BK rollbar extension, as I hopefully have a 1 day track event at Lime Rock. I knew the BK fits with the rollbar installed, but wasn't sure if I could install the BK with the hardtop on, which I had to do since there was no one around to assist me in removing it. Well, it's not the easiest way to install the BK, but it can be done with the hardtop in place!

Paint looks to be a perfect match. If you don't see your color listed on their site change the filter to show all models and not just boxsters.
I followed the ammonyc video here using the special touch-up tool he used. Works really well.https://youtu.be/Uz-zW-cLdUs
New DWS-06s 235/40r18 and 275/35r18 mounted on black Replika R186s 8.5” et 49 front 10” et 50 rear with 8mm spacer. Might look to replace the 8mm with 3mm.

Coils are now replaced. Left it on jacks so I can get after the water pump, thermostat and belt this weekend sometime. Was a t-shirt day in Vancouver BC area today. Looking forward to getting it on the road.

Next project teed up: I pulled off my front bumper cover. It's an OEM replacement in primer only. I ordered colour matched rattle cans from Roberts Paint Care. Armed with some youtube knowledge and a steady hand, I'm gonna give it a shot. Sanding first!
