Many (many, many) years ago I had replacement that was like looking through wavy fish tank glass...it was horrid. I can't speak to what quality replacements are, but the way I saw it, I knew what I would get with OEM. Also, I was told (and might be incorrect) the OEM is Saint-Gobain Sekurit.

Thanks, I’m going to ask my glass guy what he plans to use on Monday when I schedule it. He comes recommended from my independent Porsche specialist so
I feel comfortable with his recommendations. Also, the “star” I had In my windshield Thursday night becas a 6 inch horizontal crack all on its own while the car was parked on Friday. I went out for a drive in it today and the crack didn’t get any longer, but I’m curious to see if it grows some more tonight.
