Secondary Cats

There are no 02 sensors in or after the secondary cats so you should not get a CEL or a code in your OBD II reader by eliminating them. I have read elsewhere here that the car will pass the sniff test without them as well but I live in MI, not CA, so I can't confirm that.

That depends on the model year of your car. My 2003 S has O2 sensors before and after the secondary cats.

Interesting, wonder why they are only on the S model?

Are you sure about that? I'm sitting here pretty confident my 02 base has the secondary 02....maybe I'm remembering wrong....

Was actually last Sunday

But I changed spark plugs, spark plug tubes and oil. Will flush coolant and replace thermostat with the low temp one in the next 2 weeks.

I have an 01S

And I can tell you that there are no Oxygen sensors on the secondary cats...in fact the secondary cats are sitting in my basement.....TG we have no emissions here in AL
