It did on my car.
I had read a post about going over the same bump several times while changing loads against the suspension. Go over the bump with just enough throttle to maintain speed. Then go over the bump while lightly applying the brake, then do the same but apply bit of throttle. If the rattle changes intensity or goes away, then it's most likely a rear trailing link. Good luck. |

"Here's the part numbers I used to hunt the connectors: Bosch 1-928-403-453 Bosch 1-928-403-736 Each cable needs one of each plug. I purchased these from UK, since I'm in Finland (no customs etc issues) - at least untill the brexit kicks in Here's the link where I ordered those both connectors: https://www.auto-click.co.uk/1928403453 Same can be purchased from all continents. On top of the cables I have the white 8mm heat resistant sleeve. This size fits real well ove the wires." ...and the actual post for the same: http://986forum.com/forums/614254-post5561.html Hopefully this is helpful  |
Got some more done today with my IMS project. I got the spoiler, rear bumper, exhaust, and various support bars from the underside of the car removed. Disconnected the CV axles from the transmission. The axles were being stubborn when I tried pounding them out of the wheel hubs. So, I called it a day there. Hoping to get that transmission dropped here real soon.

Washed it. |
I made another DIY video when I painted the wheels of my Boxster 986. I also created a Patreon page if anyone is interested in supporting the channel and getting some additional content. You can join by going to www.patreon.com/helpmediy

Changed both rear control arms and the drivers side rear trailing arm today. The passenger side control arm proved to be quite a challenge. It refused to part company with the chassis (inboard end), taking the better part of an hour to work it loose. I rarely take a hammer to aluminum, but today was the exception.

Started replacement of my a/c compressor clutch. Last time out I thought squirrels were wrestling behind me and today confirmed that the clutch pulley wobbles front to back and side to side. Found a clutch only assembly, refurbished, on a big auction site for much less than a new factory clutch assembly. Finding the clutch without the compressor attached was like finding hen's teeth - searched for a week. Thankful this is such an easy car to work on. Unlike the wife's Volvo. The Swedes are just mean.

Started my weekend project.

I wish you luck! Taking old headers off are the only thing that gives me anxiety these days when it comes to wrenching on my cars. |

I did the same project a week ago, but gave the header bolts change to my clocal Porsche indy. Too worried on messing up the aluminium heads... |
Those header bolts are great fun. Hours of amusement to be had!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...65a97e09ac.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...be3e8514b1.jpg

Not today, but a couple of days ago I had mine in the shop for a small service, new brake fluid and installation of a B&M short shifter. Huuuuuge difference!
