Just have to secure the lens and add the gasket. Oh and do the other side. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1593116838.jpg

That looks friggin awesome.
Always like the blackened headlights, trim and inside.
Not too sure about the benefits of that retrofit though.
TÜV wise not legal over here, so all those aftermarket solution are out of the question for me. :D

Dropped the car off to be shipped back to the US. Germany/Stuttgart has been great and weekend cruises on the autobahn with the top down and my daughter blasting K-Pop made for some good memories. Hopefully PA will have some good roads to explore.

Safe travels, Troy. Southwestern PA has some decent roads, although I imagine they won't hold a candle to the Autobahn. After visiting Italy I came back to nearly falling asleep every time I went driving. Much slower here, and it took me a while to adjust.

I am sure, there will be some nice roads to explore!

So, Alles Gute & Gute Heimreise, Troy!
Glad, that you had good times over here.

Yesterday picked up the car from spring/summer inspection. As I suspected from a few dribbles on the driveway the waterpump was headed south. So had the indy shop replace pump, thermostat. Then this morning since we have nasty rainy weather - so I did a small cosmetic job. Replaced the passenger side vanity mirror and light. Rick

Took it out to a “Porsches & coffee” socially-distanced meetup this morning. Top down the whole time and it felt great. :)

Drove home from Tahoe. 3.5 hours door to door. Tucked in behind a Ferrari F430 up around Boreal. Driving behind him was like watching the Red Sea part. As we came up behind traffic they just moved to the right. We hung together up until West Sacramento before he got serious and left me in the dust with a little nod and a wave. I wasn't willing to put up triple digit speeds on public roads. Amazing sounding car. Was a pleasure to be the wing man for a bit.

Boxster drove great. Tons of fun.

New Zimmerman rotors and fresh fluid. Brembo pads were still pretty good, about two-thirds remaining, but the old rotors had a about a 2mm ridge.
Feels really good after bedding in.

Going through the list of 20 year old car challenges, today was Koni Active shock day. The rear drop links both rusted themselves to the strut and were a challenge to remove...... otherwise, uneventful. Too rain to really get on it, but the ride seems smoother......

What codes were you reading.? I assume your CEL was on?

Yes, the CEL came on pretty much every other day. I did check CEL code each time to make sure that there was no other faults to be concerned about (I don't like to drive with CEL on to hide possible bigger problems).
The code was: "P0159 Porsche Fault Code 23 - Sensor ageing behind cat. conv. cylinder (4-6)"
I read the codes with Durametric.

installed new pedals, great price, just took a little drilling into the old clutch and brake pedals after removing the rubber inserts

Thanks. It was custom built by a dude who sold his 986. I found it on Craigslist locally as-is. Generally works quite well but I learned the hard way that it requires some good padding to protect the deck lid paint from the cantilevered arms. Seems to do pretty well up to around 70 MPH.

hood is next, then 3M pro paint film on both.
