Pictures!! - And opinions:)

Hi All. I have been a member for quite some time and I am always asking for advice from you guys. Here are some pictures of my 2004 Boxster S.... they are not the best I have but still good enough. I will post better pics some time next week when I get the change to sort them all out.

My Pics show:

1) Rear spoiler Decal (only visible when spoiler is erect)
2) Cleaning of front radiators (wow what a mess it was!)
3) Wind deflector decal
4) LED DRL up front
5) Windscreen Decal
6) 100K mark
7) My other car - BMW 5 Series

I would like your opinions on the front windshield decal. By mistake the seller sent me 2 decals for the rear spoiler, and I used the extra one on the windshield - did not feel like leaving it there in the garage. I may like it but I am not sure !

original IMS?

Not a huge fan of the decals, but it's your car

Yes, it's on its original IMS. Changed oil some 500km ago, not a trace of metal in the oil filter and on the drain plug (magnetic).

Porsche logo looks good. Slightly too small for my taste, but good.

My question is, how do you get in/out of your Boxster or 5 series when parked in that garage of yours?

That windshield sticker with the upside down curvature reminds me of the lift off wing. Gonna have to agree with SoK on this.

new wing !

My opinion, which was solicited, is that the window decals look garish. If they don't know it's a Porsche then shoving it in their face won't help. I feel the very same when I see people buy license plate frames that state the very same thing that the back of your car says... you asked so take it for what it's worth.

Great looking car and congrat's on 100K km!

I, for one, like decals, so I like the windshield decal but its a little small and it really should have the correct curvature.

It's quite a tight fit. I usually park them behind each other (the 5 is my DD), but when I park them parallel they will be pointing away from each other so in reality there's enough space for me to fit in. If not I'll put the top down and just jump in

If I get enough 'support' from you guys, I will be removing the wind-shield decal ... It was meant as a spoiler decal so nothing I can do about the size and curvature.... and that wing thread post is funny.

In these 100k, I have replaced clutch (3k ago), A/C condensor.... a major overhaul of the exhaust system (replacing all heatshields, bolts, clamps etc, and scheduled for next week). A/C also stopped working and we have no idea what's wrong with it. Doesn't lose gas, compressor was tested and works fine, however it just blows air!! I also replaced the accessories belt but that's it so far. Hopefully no major issues as this year I 'invested' heavily in it.

I have to agree on the windshield decal. Buy yourself a scraper and put it out of its misery! Outright rubbish...
Sorry, but that's my opinion. Great location shots, btw! (first and last pics)

If you like all the stickers fly em' , I like the Porsche sticker better than the carbon statement on the wind deflector.

I'm with Ghostrider on this one. Not fond of those stickers as it seems the car is having an identity crisis. Love the carbon statement but after the initial chuckle you then have to look at it (forever?) and it would get old fast. Wheels are great looking and the car looks good overall. Then again it is your ride and I am not buying the gas/petrol for it so do what pleases you.

What the vehicle needs now is a set of really cool mud flaps to tie it all in !

I think the less stickers the better, but that is just me. I do like the mud flaps though Johnny

Should get colour crests for the wheels, they'll complete the look!
