That one I don't see happening. If I buy another Boxster, unless Porsche decides to make the 982 smaller and lighter it'll be another 986. However, more likely, my next Porsche would be a pre-964 911.

Hi Blue2000S,
If you and the buyer don't mind, please help us out with a market value update. How close to your asking price did it sell for ?
Bill.

I don't mind. I'll let Mike decide if he wants to reply with the number.

$17500. If it was too much, it's just the latest in a line of cars that I paid too much for ... and never regretted.
It was worth it to me in order to get such a clean, low mile, intelligently modified car that had important things like the IMS bearing already taken care of ... and blue2000s has a lot of the same automotive philosophy that I do with respect to low mass being it's own reward. The car is not loaded down with options,

I think you did just fine---it seems to be a well-taken care of machine, with some good features and not a lot of 'fluff'. I suspect you won't regret this purchase either...

A very fair price for a car that is clearly well maintained, not flogged, and has updated IMS and suspension.

blue, i'll miss you. i tried to leave too, but the muppets wouldn't let me. tried to trade my 2000 S w/ 73k kms in immaculate condition on a 2012 wrx sti. they advised that wholesale was $10k Cdn and the most i was able to work them up to was $12.5k Cdn. as a result i am still a boxster owner and soon to be one of two porsche owners in the canada's northwest territories (the other is a 924 in yellowknife). and, apparently, my dentist owns a ferrrari.
