Angry Boxster S Hard to shift into gears

My 2000 Boxster S is hard to shift into all gears when the car is running. I've changed the motor mount and slave cylinder and I still can't find the problem. Does anyone know what could be the problem?

When was the last time the transmission fluid was changed?

Garage
How's the clutch pedal working? How far is the friction point from the floor? Have you checked the fluid level in the tranny?

Or the fluid level in the brake / clutch resevoir, as air could be in the system ????

Many things, as stated above, can cause the trouble. Why are you throwing money at a problem without a proper diagnosis? Take it to someone and find out if it's your fluid, synchros or......???

Not sure but could a bent shifter fork cause this kind of a problem?

Thanks a lot for the info. I had the car for a year now and the trans fluid is the only thing I haven't checked.

Try R.O.C.S. in Belleville on Washington Ave. They'll have it diagnosed quickly.

If it shifts fine with the motor off, it's probably the clutch going....

Thumbs up Will not shift into reverse

Just wanted to thank you guys. My boxster wouldn't shift into reverse, and after reading the thread I was able to remedy the problem, I used the zip ties. Works fine now. Thank you.
