You're making a big mistake. Just get their muffler and do it at the same time.
I installed the pipes and left the stock muffler on and it improved the sound a little bit and seemed to help the engine rev faster.
Then I installed the Top Speed muffler too!
It sounds fantastic!
Listen here, look at the info for where to find the acceleration runs.
Now it revs faster, runs faster and even at start up, it makes me smile.
There is a drone in 6th at 2,400 to 2,800 so shift to 5th.
Very nice weight savings too, 30 pounds total.

Hi DF, I just ordered their bypass (not sure about the muffler yet) what is your opinion about the short shifter they have?

Hate to sound like a Top Speed commercial, but I love that too.
The shifter really makes the driving experience more sports car, less manual transmission. Hard to explain but I would do it again as the first mod only because it takes less time than the pipes and muffler.

Ya, the short shifter sounds like a thing you would like to do. The reason I didn't do it yet? Well I can give you 300 of them if going to the b&m option.
Don't get me wrong, but there are other things In the car (and more important) I can spend my $ on.
Now, 50$ it's a different story. Question is, if the Top Speed shifter is good enough?

My answer wasn't clear enough?
When I had the stock shifter in, I would sometimes go from 2nd to 5th on off camber left hand turns on the track.
It's never happened with the Top Speed shifter.

I didn't have nay trouble. Mounted them loosely to the headers first, then to the muffler.
