When I had my car towed, I simply removed the rear license plated, screwed in the stock tow hook, and had them winch the car backwards onto the flatbed. The tow truck driver said that it was one of the easiest tows he had ever did.

Yes just use the tow hook (I usually use the front one), but once they pull it onto the bed, make sure no cables, hooks, or chains are attached to the car. Make them use cloth straps thru the wheel spokes.
