What are your age and profession?
We recently did this on the BMW forum and it was interesting to get an idea of the age groups of the drivers and the professions... how about doing it over here as well. Would also be nice to include if this is your first P car or if you had others.

I have wondered the same thing about peoples profession as I see then pouring $ into these cars. Although if I had more $ I would do the exact same.

49, VP Industrial Operations for a Renewable Energy company which sounds good but I am scraping by just like everyone else. I am in the process of opening a European auto repair shop as an aside right now to make up some of my lost income from the global financial crisis.

Boxster is 2002 base model project that will be given to my son when he turns 16. This is my 2nd Pcar (first one was a 74 911s). Other cars are/have been BMW 335, M3, Volvo, MBZ. |

2001 S, bought in 2006 with 19k miles; now at 61k miles...not a garage queen ;) (though I pretty much don't drive her in the winter---in fact, this winter I cancelled the collision & liability insurance til spring). First Porsche for me. |

I guess I am the youngest one in the group. Im 19 turning 20 this year. I run my discount store with my family and currently studying mechanical engineering. I currently own a 2000 base boxster 113,000 now. This is my second car but my first Porsche. My first car being a 1995 Mitsubishi eclipse GSX, which was given to me by my dad after he change his car for a Mitsubishi montero.

OK, first post but been lurking a while. Retired 65 year old Industrial Engineer. Worked in electronics and communication. Also retired USAFR Officer.
2001 Base, Tiptronic, 42k miles. Owened about 6 months. Previous fun cars. 1972 911T, 1971 911S, 1968 1912 -ground up restoration. 924 - don't remember year, 1984 911 Carrera, 1989 911 Targa, 64 Pontiac GTO, 65 Pontiac GTO, 2000cc Datsum Roadster, 1970 Fiat 850 Spider (yes it was actually fun), 1957 T Bird, some big block hot rod trucks and a couple of Dragsters. Sailing, I had an Abarth 1000 (850) Spider. We wrenched on two of these, someone had to test drive them after repair:
