brake light electrical issues

hey guys,

was wondering if anyone else has had this issue before. i just noticed recently that my brake lights flicker. if i press them lightly, they will "lighten". but if i push more pressure on the brake pedal, the rear brake lights go off. i assume it's an electrical issue. but where do i look? also, it is only intermittent. sometimes it does it and other times, there is no problem. probably just loose connection somewhere. suggestions?

Most of the chances it’s the switch.

Look at the top part of the brake pedal, you will see a black plastic switch.
In order to remove it, you have to twist it 90 degrees.
Once you have it outside, press and release it to see if it moves smooth.
Check if the light is working properly.
Most of the chances you will fine the switch stays stuck on its “pressed” position.

this is how it looks:
