Ive used both rubber and fabric style washers and no issues with either.

I'm still having a slight drip past the metal crush rings so I guess the 6 rings I just bought aren't going to do me much good. :roll eyes:
I'll pick up some fiber ones for the next change. I've re-torqued it to spec but it won't completely stop leaking.

What torque value is to be used when tightening these?

I just did it by hand tighten snug when I changed my oil
