Ground Clearance

Does anyone know what the standard ground clearance is for the 986 using 17" tires.

OR

The clearance between the rear tire and the edge of the wheel well?

My 99 seems to have very little tire to well clearance (less than 2 inches).

Maybe I have a different suspension package?

John, I have a 2000 'S' and my manual says 4.1 inches of ground clearance. Bentley says "Front axle ride height is measured from road surface to lower bolt head edge connecting tension strut to body" and "Rear...to lower edge off diagonal brace at control arm mount". 5.98 inches front, 5.75 inches rear. Numbers are smaller for ROW and Row Sport. Don't think this helps with your issue though.
