Who said V8 had to be big and heavy ..
Take a look at this guy's concept engine ( Ducati Elenore V8 Update ) .. seems like tons of promise in this new engine design .. what do you guys think ?

That is not a V8 it is a V2 with very odd shaped pistons!

It's neat, no doubt, but I'm seeing waay too many things that could go wrong with that design.

Hope it includes positive oil pressure on the rocker arm shaft bearings, not lifetime lubed copier bearings!

I wonder how they will be able to drive the desmodromic valves with that design.

Yeah but it's still actually a V-8, not the innovation that the thread was started on. I have not problems with little V8s or V12s, they sing a good song and don't force the car's proportions to extend.
