Sounds like somebody needs to learn to play. 60K maintenance is a $150 job in 2 hours if you DIY. Very easy to do.

I live in a hot and humid climate as well and notice the temp on my 2000 2.7 always runs straight up the middle. I too have found my coolant levels dropping and did indeed find a the the angry green fluid aong the bottom of the carpet. I know this may be a tank/cap issue which I plan on trouble shooting in detail immeidately on my own. I'm just curious if driving at this temp is safe for teh car. I also notice the fans blow kind of loud when the car is in park ideling, is this normal as well?l

So now my DIY list is:

60k service
Brake rotors/pads/sensors
Possibly a new overflow tank/cap
Remove the center console for painting

Can I fly anyone down?

If it's down the middle of the normal temp marks, it's fine to run at that, just watch it and make sure it doesn't get higher. The higher temp area will make any tiny leak you may have a big one in a hurry.

For the fans, they will run faster at idle because there is no natural air flow from the car moving. The fans have to make up for that so they blow pretty hard at idle.
