the tip of the torx bit has a hole in it. The torx bolt has a pin in the centre so a regular torx bit will not fit

Yes, this is very important. You wouldn’t want a gang of Porsche hoodlums breaking in your garage and changing out your MAF sensors! This tamperproof torx will confuse the hell out of them, and let you sleep well at night!
