The gauges look much better and give you the extra information regarding battery and oil pressure.
In regard to the oil pressure, do you just replace the sensor in the block, with an oil pressure sender unit?
What price is the gauge assembly over there?

You just need to replace the 986 oil sender unit with a 996 unit and route the additional wire to the cluster (If you didn't already do it, order the book "101 projects for your Boxster" from Pelican Parts, it's Project 90

In total all parts included it cost me around US$ 600
I started with a very cheap used cluster ($250) on eBay which as it turned out had some defects so I needed to buy a few extra parts
Then I decided to add the 996 surround: $100
and then needed the 996 hazard button assembly $70

to get it 100% legal I will have to spend another $150 to have Palo Alto Speedometer change the mileage on the cluster to show the actual mileage on the car.

I tried this by temporarily attaching the face from my old "S" gauges, actually didn't care too much for it

I like the battery and oil gauges, but I'm kinda lame and I like the "font" of my S gauges. For some reason I like the funky numbers just because they were a little different than most cars. These seem more "traditional," but overall it does look good. Good work!

It would be nice to get this into the 996 cluster. Perhaps one could transplant some Boxster gauge faces....

I fear I may end up going digital to get what I want as in calling oil pressure
up on a nav head unit

North Hollywood Speedometer advertises they have "Boxster Script" gauge faces, of course thet also told me they had a metric Boxster thread oil pressure sending unit but sold me a 1/8th" so be wary of your dealings with them.

Not that somple:
The Boxster speedo goes to 175 mph the 996 to 200
So the analog speed will be off by a bit
