Engine upgrades

Hello all, I finally got a boxster last week and I couldn't be happier with it. I did have a couple questions... the brakes are really loud when coming to a complete stop. Also is there anyone that knows some inexpensive engine performance mods that I could do to get a few extra horses?

It isn't fast enough

So there is a list of mods that you can pay for that will make it go faster

Brakes shouldn't be loud. Typical problems are a stone caught in them or worn pads and or rotors. For the first, try backing up. For the second, there are DIY instructions available or a mechanic can do it for you.

Awesome, thanks for the help. I noticed a few DIY brake fixes for the squeaking on here. One question, do you have to replace/turn rotors every time u do pads or can I get away with swapping just the pads assuming my rotors look fine?

thanks in advance

Do you have a Bentley manual? If not, you should (no affiliation here).
Along with tons of great info for the DIYer, It'll tell you the minimum rotor thickness requiring replacement. I just bought new rotors when I did mine because they weren't that expensive. If you're tracking, may be another story.

You'll find doing these brakes is likely the easiest you've ever done.
