I have a 97 as well with 72k on the clock. Looking to get several more miles/years out of it. Hopefully the next 72k are as fun as the first 72k.

One of our members who lives in Livermore, Ca has about 235,000 on his Boxster. Pedro of Pedro's Garage in Florida had about 200,000 on his before it failed.

I have a 1998 Base with 130K. The engine and trans. are running very well. Over all the car is in great shape. We just got back from a 2500 mile road trip. I found a nice empty road in NV and got it up to 153. Steady and solid as a rock.

On our trip we bought a 2000 S with 48K miles. I have the twins in the garage. At the moment, I think the '98 is in just as a good condition as the 2000. To the unfamiliar eye, you can't tell them apart.
