2004 boxster, battery disconnected, doors and lids closed, door lock inoperative.

Help, need to open hood to reconnect battery... necessary to open door and actually DRIVE the car again...

Any help?

Thanks,

Go fish

for a wire connected to the front trunk lock that is accessed by undoing the passenger side (US) wheel well plastic and finding it taped alongside the headlight pod. Pull it.

Then, at a opportune time, relocate that wire pull to somewhere it is more easily accessible like under the tow hook cover on the front bumper.

Hi Mike,

Did you mean Passenger side?? OK, So I'm a knucklehead, I assumed it would be on the driver's side (as the interior controls are there... Anyway, good practice, got the left side all apart. Also, as a bonus, have to work around installed wheel.... right, lug lock tool is in the trunk... How am I doing so far?

Success!

Dearest Mike,

Indeed, stainless wire loop, under RF wheel well, just where you said. Pretty stiff, had to use piece of line to yank it. Made up swedged piece of stainless wire rope to relocate as you suggested. Many thanks!

See my post today under 'general discussion' for the overall issue I have now.

Thanks for you expert advice,

Dave

Is this message in code? Are these "clues" cryptic?
I suggest you re write and use punctuation marks & correct spelling - you may then get an intelligent response ......
