CDR 23 Radio and Dead Battery

A former co-worker has a 2004 Boxster with the CDR 23 Radio. He recently experienced a dead battery and opened the front trunk by attaching jumper cables to his fuse block. After he installed the new battery his radio wouldn't power up.

Based on what I've read, it seems like the process of powering up the car to release the front-trunk lid could have blown the radio fuse on the back of his radio or possibly the radio fuse in the fuse block.

I have a 2000, so I'm not too familiar with the CDR 23. Before I recommend that he pull the radio out, can anyone think of any other likely source for this problem?

I was messing with my radio a while back. Tried to setup an ipod install but wanted to play cdc option also. Anyway, I'm not sure exactly what I did but it turns out that the radio fuse (in the block) blew somewhere along the way. I was pretty relieved that it wasn't something serious. So ya, happened to me so could be a possibility.

I helped him pull out his radio tonight. It was the fuse in the radio. It is 10 amp if anyone has the same problem.
