Aftermarket brakes/rotors identification question

Hi,

I just received new brakes rotors for my 2000 Boxster base.
I got them from R1Concepts and they look really nice..
I also got brakes/rotors for my SUV in same package

However they came packed without any markings on them.. Now I'm stuck with 8 rotors and no ideea what goes where..

Do front rotors differ from rear? how about left and right? Do they go in only where they supposed to or I can mix and match them..

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Sasha

Are they identical in shape, size, markings, holes, and everything else?

If so, then I would venture to say they can go anywhere.

They are not identical.. but similar.
I worry that I'll stick them to the wrong side and screw something up

Thanks

This is just from memory from glancing at the Bentley manual a couple months ago (I've never changed my rotors...so far anyway), but I seem to recall the OEM front rotors being thicker than the rears. Which, of course, would make sense. You're sure they're all the same thickness?

I should add that I was reading about the S model (naturally)---I suppose it's possible they are all the same in the base model?

Why don't you just ask R1Concepts?

After closer inspection I see that they are difffrerent 2 by 2. so most probably fronts and rears are different and left/right are interchangeable.

Now hopefully I get it right I did send an email to R1Concepts but it's weekend.. and I don't want to wait until monday.

BTW rotors are heavy.. 4 rotors and pads are in 60lbs package (all together).. is that heavier than OEM?

One more thing.. zinc plated cross drilled and slotted rotors look sooooo cool. Can't wait to install them

Thanks
Sasha
