I would go with the aluminum.
You likely have enough yellow already!

I agree - the aluminum looks good.
My yellow/black came used, with the yellow console and yellow roll bars. Plenty of color there. Glad she bought the black floormats or it would have glowed in the dark.
It turns heads, though.
Now to get the yelllow caliper covers...

I dunno, some of those kits look cheap so I would be careful. I'm a sucker for body-colored interiors too...

When people risk their lives, shouldn't it be for something very important?
Well, it better be.
But what is so important about driving faster than anyone else?
Lots of people go through life doing things badly. Racing's important to men who do it well.
When you're racing, it's life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting.

Hmmm..... I dont know, I have seen this on ebay too, with out seeing it in the flesh it's hard to tell how it's going to look. The price look's attractive compared to the cost of some other stuff out thier. If he will let you return it if it turns out to look cheap then I would say go for it, if their is no return policy I would have to think twice maybe three times on it; after all we are talking about putting this on a Boxster after all.

I think it looks like ass. I'm betting they are just flat aluminum that's been laser cut with a pressure sensitive adhesive applied on the back. Kinda cheesy like toupe cheesy.
If you want those pieces a different color than the standard black, I would reccomend you get them painted to match the silver on the door handles like how the factory does it. Check out some pics here: http://www.prestigeparts.co.uk/boxsterinterior.htm

A replacement centre console is surprisingly cheap form your dealer - the black plastic version anyway. This can easily be painted arctic silver or bodycolour - a few coats of lacquer gives added scratch resistance.
You could also paint the central switch panel - easily removed in 2 minutes.
Far better option than cheap film kits

After looking at this site http://www.prestigeparts.co.uk/boxsterinterior.htm
I say stay away from the cheap glue on stuff. The painted parts are much more $$$$ but hay you get what you pay for!!!!!!

My advice:
Don't buy aftermarket stuff like this for your Boxster unless its from someone who only works on 996 and Boxsters.
I would save up bite the bullet and get your rear center console painted. I know Miata owners who did this themselves and it came out looking very stock. But it was very time consuming lots of sanding and prepring of the plastic before it was painted.

I am looking to paint my interior and have been trying to gather info.
I would love to just get the prestige stuff but... I have time but not the money.
I am going to do it myself but plan on having all the pieces out for a long time. Between sanding, cleaning, priming, painting and clear coat (several times over) you are looking at many weeks of work.
But you know what, my car is worth it and I will enjoy every second. I will start the strip down this weekend!

if you call Tower Paint they will take your VIN# and send you a can of your exterior color paint. I think I ordered two cans for $30 with shipping for my Miata to paint these turn signal intakes that replaced the parking lights.
I'm thinking about doing it again to paint the back of the roll bar and the back and seatbelt insert of my GT3 seats.
P.S.
you'll also need a plastic adhesive spray before painting and clear coating. I used this to repaint the window and windshield mouldings which were starting to fade to grey. 5 mintues and they were nice and black again.
