I think it looks like ass. I'm betting they are just flat aluminum that's been laser cut with a pressure sensitive adhesive applied on the back. Kinda cheesy like toupe cheesy.
If you want those pieces a different color than the standard black, I would reccomend you get them painted to match the silver on the door handles like how the factory does it. Check out some pics here:
