Move the seat up 5"? You'd have to be 5'2 (or less) or you'd be driving grandma style with the steering wheel in your chest. And moving the seat up 5" equals losing that specific amount of foot room so you might as well move the seat all the way back and do the footwell sub. At least you'd have more options as to what brands to use.

Uh...how about your engine is behind that wall? I would not recommend cutting into the firewall.
