Wow...you guys keep getting useless email. I am much more lucky I guess. On my personal email, not related to the address I use for the forum, I just got an email from some guy in Africa who's uncle died and left him a fortune!! I am going to help the guy out by allowing him to transfer all this money into one of my offshore accounts. I really hit the jackpot this time! Do no think all unsolicited email is bad. With the percent he is going to give me I probably can buy another Boxster. Perhaps a Carrera GT even, so I will not be posting here anymore.

Got it too... Thanks 986forum. If I were smart enough to make a cool thing like that happen to a bunch of us guys I would have gave a sweet attachment with it.

Go into quick links>edit options
Use the edit email/password option on the left

Change your password and delete your email address

Problem is, it won't let you change that information unless you also provide a new email address. It says on the form that the email address is optional, but when you try to update it without one listed, it rejects it.

Thanks. Even if you can't change your email address (hey, whomever's doing this already has the email, so no point in giving them another one), still a good idea to change your password, especially if you use the same password for multiple sites.

It's true that you cannot leave the email address field blank. If you attempt to change it to something that's gibberish, a confirmation email is sent to the nonexistent address. So you have to change it back to a legit email address to continue using the forum.
