What color is your Boxster -- Poll --
Ok,
Now that we are determining which vehicle is out there. Lets see what the choice of color is
This poll should be interesting since dealers are always telling us which is more popular

I'm sorry, but this is seriously lame... I quit visiting Porsche Pete's because of this kind of idle chatter...
If someone is worried about the ride if they switch to 18" wheels, they ought to buy a Mustang...
It's like some posting on the AOPA web site: what color is your PA28R-200? Who cares... Is it airworthy? That, I care about...
Does my S drive nicely with 18" wheels and S02's (and progessive springs)? Yes. Does it ride nicely? Who gives a rats a**... You're worried about that, buy a BMW. Or even better a Benz.

Ok,
Now is your chance to contribute some posts which you think are worthy. I welcome them. They can only make the site better since it has only been up for a weekor so.
Some of the reasons for a few of these posts are to generate traffic and show the features of the web. For instance, The polls are a feature that some other sites don't allow regular users to create. At least here you can create a poll as a user to gather your most desirable statistics. In this case, I was really curious about my sales persons pitch on selling me a car. I wanted a silver one and his dealer didn't have one. He then went on to say that silver was the most popular color and it was getting old. Therfore, they stopped ordering them in that color. The Poll here will actually let me know if what he said has any substance to it as long as the people voting are casting legite votes.
None the less, welcom aboard and please feel free to contribute what you think are topics worth posting.

Well this poll on the color may be nothing to get excited about, but nevertheless, I do find it interesting to see Jorge making an effort to get something going here.
So, if you find it lame, why not contribute something that YOU find worthwhile? Hopefully you will and it will be something interesting to discuss and talk about.
Oh yeah, mine is AS, in case you haven't guessed.

Rainforest Green
I have not seen too many Boxsters in green ( or Rainforest Green for that matter), but I am certain it is a lovely color! I think I have seen maybe one green Boxster so far around here, not sure if that was the same color you have. Is there more than one 'green' available for the Boxster?
I just think silver when I think Porsche for some reason. Maybe it's the James Dean 550 Spyder that sticks in my mind or something?
I don't know that much about Porsche history yet (have to get the great sounding book I saw about Porsche and Boxsters), but didn't Porsche usually have their race cars in silver?
Whatever color Boxster someone has doesn't matter, the important thing is that it is a Boxster!

why post?
If you don't post, don't ******************** about what those who do choose to discuss. This is break time from the endless chores and files on my desk. Boxster = mental health. Enjoy, hell if guys can't talk about cars, women, football, etc. what the hell would we do on the internet?

Hi there,
I actually ordered mine in midnight blue, but then switched to seal grey with blue top. In germany most boxsters are silver, nearly all others are black. Interieur mostly all black...
This is kinda sad, I think in the staates ppl give more on colors. I personly like orange red, i think it's called guards red for U alot. also withe looks very nice on the boxster.
Regards,
Frank

This is my 1998 3X black Boxster. 20000 miles, new motor at 19000 miles, thank you PCNA no charge. It is a base Boxster, I have added the clear tailites, clear headlites with the amber center removed. Both have had the Silvervision bulbs added, made by me. I have also added black side markers, black third brakelite. One of the better changesd was to a silver hood badge, much better looking than the gold one.

Craig,
Your car looks awesome. Tell us more about the "black" side markers. I am not familiar with them.

Thank you. I purchased a set of the clear side markers, installed them and had a pair of amber side markers left over.
I was looking at a website for BMWs and they sold side marker covers, to make them bumper color. BINGO, thats a light bulb going on. I sanded the amber markers and painted them black to match the car.Remove the bulbs and they won't lite up. They could be painted any color.

thanks Craig,
I have seen a similar Bimmer thread, but never made the "click." I have clears with with Lapis Blue car.... (and clear/red tails and Litronics -- i.e., no amber-plastics).

boxstr - new motor at 19,000 ???
Boxstr
What happened to your old motor at (or before) 19000... ??
Seems like there is a disproportionate number of Oregonians on this forum ... wonder why ... the Sports Car Market phenomenon ... maybe we're just more communicative ??
