CEL 1128/1130 then CEL went off but car cut off

Hi, I have had a CEL on for about two months(only drove the car to autozone to get the codes once CEL came on, they told me 1128/1130, I know its possible oxygen sensors) I decided to bring the car to my local mechanic, he puts the car on his scanner, and came up with the same codes(1128 and 1130) the mechanic also noticed some white-ish/blue-ish smoke come from the exhaust at start up and when i tapped the pedal, He then asked me to return with the car on Monday when he had room to take it in. On my way from the mechanics garage about two blocks away the car stopped, it restarted but noticed a slight flicker of the oil light, drove a few blocks and it stopped again, started up again and the CEL was gone. And no other warning lights were on. Confused - any guidance/advice/similar experiences and cost to repair?

Confused

how much did it run you to fix?

Do you notice any oil in the intake or MAF? If so, it could be that your AOS is just starting to fail, it has gunked up the MAF and explains both the codes and smokey exhaust.

The oil from an AOS failure is always behind the throttle plate (the breather line is behind the throttle plate) The only time I see oil up in the MAF housing is when we scatter an engine at 7k+ rpm

I think he has two failures occuring. MAF and AOS

Garage
1128/1130 means your car is running lean. It could be a lot of things:

Bad/loose gas cap
Bad oil cap/oil filler tube
Bad AOS
Loose/torn vacuum lines
Bad MAF

Check for vacuum leaks first. Look for signs of oil leaks around your AOS. Disconnect your MAF and drive the car. If it runs better, replace the MAF.

my 01 boxster blew out the AOS oil dripped out of the air filter box water drain hole just behind the driver's seat in the engine compartment. about a pint dripped out in 5 minute period with engine off. mine was resolved with replacing only the aos
