help: Car just stopped? Clutch?
The wife and i went on a short ride last weekend and towards the end we pulled into a home depot i went to downshift and then nothing? the car would not go in any gear, engine is fine, i had it towed to the local Autobahn service company. They told me it sounded like a clutch? never had a problem with the clutch in any way, the car is a 1999 boxster with 33,000 miles. any ideas before i spend $1,400 on a clutch to find out it is something else? could it be in the hydraulic clutch system? I have my Bentley mannual out looking at the hydraulic system will check in the am?
