Tree sap on the seats

Goop hand cleaner takes tree sap right off of everything I've ever gotten it on, including clothing. I haven't tried it on leather, so I can't say for sure it wouldn't discolor, but it works great at dissolving that sticky tree sap. It didn't take any color out of my blue jeans.

The Goop that I am familiar with is a petroleum based product, which I think would be too harsh / drying on leather. This may no longer be true, but just in case... I would watch out for that. Oil based products [like Vath2001's simple solution] make for a nice solvent that is leather friendly.

I use Wurth Citrus Degreaser for any stcky or adhesive removal. The citrus oil will not harm leather, vinyl or paint.
