From the goo gone folks...worth noting.

Test first on the width of your door panel. Use a Q-tip of Goo Gone,
rub gently, wait just a few minutes, wash the area with a soapy white
cloth, rinse the area with another wet cloth. Let this air dry for one
hour. Check the last cloth for discoloration. If nothing came off on
the cloth and neither the clear coat or the paint show bubbling, dulling
or fading, then you can use Goo Gone anywhere on the painted surface.

Wurth Citrus Degreaser is the best; will not harm the paint whatsoever. You may also try 3M Adhesive remover, as a second choice (both highly recommended by the concours gurus in the Chicago PCA).

3M adhesive remover

I picked up a can of the 3M and gave it a try. It took repeatred sprays and a little rubbing but the old residue came off. Seemed gentle on the paint - but it does take off the wax.

Some ghosting where the logo was - so I will hit it with some polish and then re-wax.
