In 1962 my dad had a new Ford Falcon. The '62 had clear parking lights in the bumper, but the 1963 introduced AMBER lens in an unchanged bumper. That was the first year that amber was used in the USA.

So my Dad bought a pair of ambers for the '62 and it looked real cool !!!!!!

Point is, we'll usually pay big bucks just to be different. (Dad got away cheap!).

Personally, I like clear, but my car is amber and I'm too cheap to change it.
