I have been having so much fun learning Japanese! I bought the Pimsleur set of 60 (1/2 hour) lessons on 30 CDs.
I was looking for "987s rule", but reign of 987 was as close as I could find.
After saying it out loud a few times I liked it. It is not as hard as it looks because "shichi" is actually pronounced "shtee".
The "hoochi ku" was just "too cool"
Since Mazda is my second largest customer, learning the language is a respect thing for my Japanese engineer friends and I don't want to insult them owning a Porsche. On my rear window is die cut lettering which says, in proper mazda font, "My other car is a Mazda"

Why not convert one of those scrolling message boards, so you could say all of the above, when the mood suits you.

Very cool! Thanks for the explanation! The only regret I have in my life is that I didn't move to Japan for a year after undergrad school to learn Japanese. My parents told me it was a dumb idea and I listened to them.
Even though I prefer no words on my spoiler, there are some GREAT ideas here. My faves: - scrolling message board haha!
- Porsh-uh! I know P owners that say Porsh!

- Tschuess
- Auf Wiedersehen
- Mach Schnell or Schnell
What's German for "FUN"?

I occasionally think about putting:
"Advertise your company here"
But for the guy who's putting the tow-ball on his, perhaps:
"If you can Read this... My trailer's gone"
But my fave would be:
"Mr BMW, just F**K off"
In response to the many BMW drivers who don't know what a Boxster S can do, and tail-gate me until I floor it.

Sure they have a sense of humor! It's like when they place the oil filter in the 944 in an impossible to reach place where it will spill the most oil over the most components.
It's just a sick twisted sense of humor. Thats why I like them so much!

So you want your spoiler sticker to say "Shtee 986"? The way I pronounce that it really doesn't sound too good!

Illegal... at least in California. Scrolling message boards are specifically called out in California code as illegal. I imagine it's the same in most other states.

rick3000-
I kind of like the red. I agree, it ties in with the red in the tails...
I've seen it in white and yellow which I don't think woudl look right on an ocean blue car.
i don't know how to use PS, so I can't change the color. anyone have the ability to use Rick's photo and PS the letters so they appear the same color as the car itself? it might look nice, and it may be so dark that there's not enough contrast to really read the letters at all...
I kind of like that idea though - in that I think my car's color scheme is conservative and understated - it's ocean blue, and black. interior is all black. wheel crests are black. having a bright red logo pop up at the back might be "too much"...but if the logo were color keyed to the car - it would be visible..but not too loud. it would be a bit more subtle.
anyone here good with PS that can do that?? thanks!

Kirk, the shtee (shichi) is seven, as in ku hachi shichi - 987
