Left Window stuck

Hmm...this is the second thing wrong with my Box is the first 2 months I've owned it. Anyway, could be worse.

The left window is now stuck, I can't get it to go up or down. I opened the door panel, and I can still hear the motor running when I press the button. However the wire that moves the window is not moving, thus the window itself isn't moving.

I'd like to fix this one by myself, it's quite easy to take off the door panel and if I took it to a mechanic he'd probably slap a $500+ charge for it, when I could do it in a couple of hours.

What might be wrong, and where can I find the part if I need to?

Sounds like the window regulator cable came off or possible broke. A replacement regulator can be found at a salvage yard.

If I were to get one from the Salvage yard, will the regulator be specific to the Boxster/Porsche? There aren't that many Porsche's running around where I live, that's for sure.

Took it up to a mechanic today, he said it is definately the regulator and rang me up at 400 bucks, that's pretty pricey!
