QK,

If you are talking about the lower front flap, which I think is a wind divertor for brake cooling. It's attached integrated with the bumpercover hardware, it's only held by three fasteners.

It is the wind diverter in front of the right rear wheel. It was attached with 5 star drive screws and came right off, new one went right on. Piece of cake!
I took a nice trip on July 4th. Took all farm roads up across rural Georgia to my buds house west of Macon. Moved over to miss a tree branch in the road and then had to nick the branch to miss the farmers Bulldog running out to "get me."
The branch punched a hole in the hollow plastic trim part. The alternative would have been far worse for all parties involved......

here's a picture of the part from suncoasts website ~ $24 each

on the 986 it's extremely easy to replace......

- remove the two 10mm nuts holding the forward piece of the rear wheel well liner
- remove the three philips head screws on the bottom of the flap (2 will be in the rocker panel area - one interconnects w/ the under body panel)
- remove the one philips head screw from inside the wheel well (hidden by the previously removed wheel well liner)

I would assume the procedure on the 987 is very similar. Hope this helps
