I know what you guys are thinkin', but I swear I hadn't read that article when I made my fighter jet comment.
Hey man, one look says stealth fighter all over it!
I thought it was interesting that Lambo would admit they used another design as influence. Aren't these guys supposed to be making the big bucks for originality?

They should've had this one in the new batman movie instead of a regular lambo. Sorry, but this thing is kinda ugly. 250k should look more beautiful. Some crazy rich idiot will buy it I'm sure.

ADAM try 2.4 million not 250K. but you are right its not that pretty. I'd rather just get a murci LP640 and with the rest of my money also get the Murci LP 640 roadster ( now I have to hot lambos) then with the rest of my money get the new SL 65 Black series and hey I would still have alot of money left, so I would get a CGT and call it a day. then I will go drive home fast and watch top gun and pretend I had a reventon.

shoooot, any man I would ever marry would deserve a car like that, as long as he'd let me drive it. So there are 20 out there, right? That means if all 20 are sold to dudes, I have 20 chances to marry someone with one.

Nice but I still think the Countach is the ultimate. I will one day own one. And I will also have a script for some zanex so I don't freak out about the dust getting in it.

I used to love the countach when I was young but after seeing it in person and carefully abserving it and being a passenger I was dissapointed. First of all just like the Reventon its really tacky in design. second, it feels wierd, material quality is horrible, the gas filler is inside the side vent which means you will scratch the paint filling your car ( many people spray paint it for maintenance). The shifting is horrible, and I have watched it being serviced and its b*tch.

The Ultimate Lambo that stands out of all the classics is the Diablo GT 6.0

The Muira was clean too

Yet a white Countach looks nice in the posters.

I sat in a Countach when I was a teenager and I remember thinking I'd probably have a hard time driving it. It just didn't seem like a car that would be easy to drive for a 5'0" tall female.

I have been told by several people that the Countach sucks after the novelty wears off. However, that being said I too will own one some day. The imagine from Cannonball Run was burned into my brain as a child.

Check out this link: http://youtube.com/watch?v=wFB6FfaNQ40

Who remembers this?

I remember the classic scene. I didn't remember all of the actors/celebrities/personalities that appeared in the movie. What a cast!

That was fun to see after a ton of years. Thanks for posting it.

That clip brings back so many memories. I would have been about 10 when it came out so I probably first saw it when I was 12-13. The Countach was like something from outerspace but I knew I wanted one.

Here is the Lambo scene from the second one: http://youtube.com/watch?v=6MtBb2Nt3bM

QUOTE]

Lambo used to have their main headquarters and warehouse here in Jacksonville.
I knew the guy who did their paint repair work and because of my expertise with space frame construction, I was hired for a job that never took place..........it seems their demo Diablo was never wrecked by not being run off the road by a redneck in a pickup......
So, after not taking 6 weeks to get the metric size square tubing and not having to actually fabricate a short piece of 10mm x 30mm rectangular tubing, we had the front of the cat not straightened out or tacked back together. Next, I was not screamed at because my welds did not look like the original welds. If I remember, my comment was that I could not weld that poorly!
The space frame on the car had obviously been built by the lowest bidder. It was junk. All of the auxilliary stuff was cheap crap (Fiat parts), the aluminum replacement body panels came from the factory with cracks in them, etc., etc., etc.
I was thoroughly disappointed by the quality of all the stuff at their shop, especially the mega-buck all wheel drive SUV that cost around 500k, and this was about '94.
To add insult to injury, they fought tooth and nail over my charges, never fully paid the bill and refused the test drive that was part of our original deal. :troll:

That isn't the dealership selling that car. It's brokered and someone has purchased it and is now having the dealer sell it for him at an inflated cost. It happend a ton when the Ferrari 360 spider was released.

How about those windows? I too was mesmorized by the countach when I was a kid. I had a huge poster of the 25th anniversary car in my room. A couple years back when at a service/dealership in springfield with my dad I got to check out the beloved 25th ann up close and was severely disappointed.

Another car I was very disappointed in was the Ferrari Testarossa, if you ever get to see one on the lift, check out that craftsmanship. The italians are not welders. Those vents on the side have a bolt with a 10mm head right under each one, holding it on. It seems that was kind of an afterthought they just threw on.

Although at that same dealership I got to sit in and ride passenger in my favorite car of all time the Ferrari F40. Beautiful car in every way, shape, and form.

Amen. What a piece of workmanship, from the basic design through to the final fit and finish.
A local shop does mainly Alfas. He and I have been FF competitors and good friends for about 25 years now. His father in law was a major lawyer in the area and collected Ferraris for quite a few years. They are funny. Tom has had most, if not all, of them at his shop for one thing or another over the years and some are absolute works of art and perfection, while others seem to be just thrown together. The fit, finish and general quality also seems to have little to do with their current value.
My best desription is some models seemed to be thought out as primarily race cars and fitted out to make a buck selling them for the street, while others were to be first class road cars from initial concept.
