Latest 2009/2010 987 Facelift Renderings

I found this on another site and thought I would share it here as the latest renderings of the 987 facelift due in Jan. 2009. While they are not official, they are about the best renderings I have seen thus far. I like the Cayman front end a bit more than the depicted Boxster S, still not digging the rear lights, I can live with the big dumbo mirrors, and 320 hp would be terrific (note that it is just under the 325 hp of the former 997). What I did not see reprinted on this version, but have seen it posted elsewhere, that the new Boxster S will be detuned to 310 hp to justify the price/performance differential of the facelifted Cayman S which will have 320hp, which truly is a shame. Perhaps Porsche will offer a $5,000 option on the Boxster S to bring it to the 320Hp of the new Cayman S.

The cars look nice, but I honestly like the lines of my 2000 better. It's nice to have an older car that still looks modern.

It's nice, but doesn't beat this by 20 grand trade difference!

I think it looks nice but I'm glad that is still looks like a Boxster. What I like about Porsches in general though is that you can buy one and years later it is still beautiful.

First word that came to mind when I looked at the link was....Miata.
Does anyone else see the similarity in the front end?
BTW...did you read the comments? Sounds like the Honda Civic crowd!
It's entertaining to read such ignorance.

I kind of wish they'd make the vents go up and down like on the cayman, if that makes sense.
