hrt1009 Registered User Join Date: Nov 2016 Location: Australia Posts: 1	RPM vs IMS Greetings from Downunder. I have looked through the previous pages on this thread and read a number of forums related to IMS failures. But, I have not come across any posts which deal with the incidence of IMS failure vs the driving habits of the owners. Is there any information on whether engines allowed to spin freely but, kept below say 4000 RPM are more or less prone to IMS failures than engines that are pushed hard?
