If your oil change is not due, it can't hurt to just replace the filter, tear it apart and visually inspect it for metallic particles..

Quoted $1,700 for the LN IMS, clutch is just parts since transmission is out of the car anyway.
They were the recommended shop from LN Engineering.
I'm sure other things will be found that needs replacement once transmission is removed and access is gained..
