I detest dings!

So far I'm good.

I try to park in the boonies but some joker does always end up parking RIGHT next to ya there.

I don't drive to movie theaters with Foxy.

Work is probably the second worst place to acquire dings.

I never take up 2 spots -that invites the keyers.

I bought my DD thinking, "this car is for dings -I don't car if it gets beat up." I WAS WRONG! I don't even like getting dings in that 12 year old champion! (I love my Acura TL -as boring as it is).

Dings are automotive acne.

People nowadays are so inconsiderate of others. Therefore I am very careful where I park. I wish others would indeed follow 'the golden rule'. We would all be much better off and happier if they did.

Looks like Bob Z has it about right. But no matter how careful I try to be, there's always that one **swipe, as eqs mentioned, that always wants to park next to me. Since I already have a few dings, I'd rather not add to my collection. So, if I can't find a reasonable parking spot, I'd rather not park and run that particular errand for that day....it can wait for when I have my DD w/ me.

Another vote for far away.

Also nowhere near a shopping cart return area and always on the uphill side of a lot. My former DD MX-6 got tagged by a cart rolling down into it.

It also got hit by the door of a fat lady's car whilst parked in a far corner spot at a restaurant. She musta bought the weight/health benefits as some of you have mentioned.
