I'm down for a meet in Uptown. What times works for the (few) Dallas folk?

Ken, post some pix of your car![/COLOR]

What luck, I actually expect to be in the US for at least the next month! Any time on weekends or evenings M-F. I work near UTD (Plano-ish) so M-F lunch in uptown is not ideal but is doable if that's what works best for everyone else.

Thanks for referring me to this thread Jeph! Although I could make a weekend work, after work (5-5:30 or so) during the week would work the best for me. But if it happens to be the one day a year when we have ice or snow, then I would probably show up in a beat up 93 Saturn instead.

link to DFW Boxster roads thread

Hey local DFW Boxsters, if you take me up on my suggestions for some good DFW Boxster roads to drive in the thread I started at DFW area Boxster roads - share your favorite local roads - let me know and maybe we could set up a mini-meet and/or drive a route or two together.

Maybe Mike, thenavarro also from Waxahachie, will have his car back together by then too.

I'm up for a meet. I'm in the Plano/Addison area. But am willing to drive downtown since that is close to where I work m-f. Weekends are best for me too.

Works for me. Jeph has been pushing Mooyah for at least a year so I'll second that nomination.

Where in the uptown area isn't too critical for me but when we meet is more important. How about you guys that have been around here for awhile decide something then let the rest of us know and if I can come I'll be there.

Maybe ... This weekend the 19th works better though!

The company's engineer from Taiwan is coming to Dallas the 20 - 28th. I could bring her on the 26th but prefer to keep that weekend open for sightseeing around Dallas or maybe a trip to Austin. Dallas doesn't exactly seem the mecca of exciting places to take visitors, especially in January.

I believe that I could actually make this. Let me know what works best for everyone and I'll adjust my schedule.

Saturday, January 26. Let's do it!

Let's finalize a venue.
Village Burger Bar will not allow us all to park together, methinks

(Ya know, this is about the same time we had a meet last year. Roadsters and cold weather... gotta love it.)

I can't make it Saturday, but if there is enough interest, then one Saturday in the future, y'all could come down to Waxahachie (26 miles south of Dallas) and bring your significant other. We could begin with a tour of the courthouse, and the significant others could spend a couple of hours shopping on the square at some of the local places while we drove off and explored some of the fine FM roads that Ken has charted. We could then come back and go as a group to a place called the Catfish Plantation which has great home cooking (catfish, chicken fried steaks, fried ears of corn, onion rings, cobbler, etc. etc.)and has been featured on national TV programs as being haunted, or if the weather is warm, we could order some incredible pizza from a place here in town and eat off my balcony of my office at the courthouse. Just post if you might have interest in attending, and if so, I'll try to schedule something in the future.

Mike
