				Locks are screwed! wtf??

My car will lock from the inside. The transponder on the key will not work to lock the car though. I put the key in the door to lock it and it just spins and won't lock. Ummm...I can't lock my car from the outside at all.

Pompous, read through the section in your owners manual about how the key fob "goes to sleep" if the car sits for about 5-7 days. This is a safety feature and is tied into the alarm system. Possibly your key fell asleep.
Could still be a weak battery in the fob too. Don't let the redlight fool ya! |

Tried to reset the key and checked the fuses. No luck w/this. I can lock/unlock w/the button inside the car, but not w/the remote or the key hole still.

Tell us more about the key "spinning" when you insert it into the lock. Are you saying it is turning more than 90 degrees in either direction?

That's the problem, something is broke in the lock mechanism and is probably confusing the electric lock system.

...but why would I be able to lock it from inside the car with the button on the dash? Shouldn't the remote on the key still work, just not the actual key?

The outside lock needs to be fixed. Are there any marks on it that would indicate that someone tried to force it open with a screw driver? If so your insurance may cover the repair.
I'm guessing that once the lock is fixed, everything will return to normal.

If the lock cylinder in your door does nothing but spin loosely, that's your best clue that something is wrong.

I had this problem after picking my car up from service. I had to bring it back and they had to re-code some module relating to door locking.
