Elise is 190hp and 1970 lbs (approximately...with sport pack and such, which I do have)
Cayman S is 295hp and 2967 lbs (BASE WEIGHT. Most Caymans will weigh at least 50-100 lbs more)
That's an identical power to weight ratio
It feels much faster than the 2.7l. Of course, I am still breaking it in...700 miles to go.... Can't be over 6K RPM. It doesn't have that dead spot at 2k rpm that the 2.7l has. Gearing is better too... (70mph in 6th = 3.5k RPM)
If it was about speed, I would have gotten a Corvette for the same $$$. I think we, as current and former Boxster owners, know that better than anyone.
