Elise is 190hp and 1970 lbs (approximately...with sport pack and such, which I do have)

Cayman S is 295hp and 2967 lbs (BASE WEIGHT. Most Caymans will weigh at least 50-100 lbs more)

That's an identical power to weight ratio It feels much faster than the 2.7l. Of course, I am still breaking it in...700 miles to go.... Can't be over 6K RPM. It doesn't have that dead spot at 2k rpm that the 2.7l has. Gearing is better too... (70mph in 6th = 3.5k RPM)

If it was about speed, I would have gotten a Corvette for the same $$$. I think we, as current and former Boxster owners, know that better than anyone.

Nice looking car.

Next time I am going to be out in LI, I will have to drop you a line. I would love to get a closer look at it.

Enjoy and let us know what happens after the break-in period!

Tell me about it...SoCal is where this car belongs... Not on these crappy ass, non-maintained roads. Their idea of fixing a crack is to put a hump over the entire interstate that acts like a speed bump at 70mph.

Dr.Kill, I'm in Westchester too and NYC all the time...swing on by!

Did you get the color matching hardtop? Or did it come with the black ones? I like that model. Thank god you did not get the big extra spoiler added. That color looks great too!

Adam, she wasn't cute, but she was really tall

porsche986spyder, I disagree with you regarding the spoiler. The Exige I saw this weekend had one, and I thought it looked pretty sharp...
