Very nice. But I don't see the point in using them if your car isn't lowred or set up withsome type of aftermarket suspension. Is that something in your future? Are you going to autocross?

Smile Front is easy

Mine was easy to install and El Clumso didn't even leave any blood on the job! Depending on your battery you may or may not have a clearance issue but that remains to be seen. I am suprised there was no instructions with the set but they are fairly obvious. I did not install a rear set as yet and I am sure there are others on this list that have experience and will coach you through any problems. Enjoy.

Conradtan, there are some great old threads about installing the strut brace. Just enter the words "strut brace" in the search function, and you will find them.

My tips:

1) Dry fit first
2) Use a torque wrench for the strut nuts
3) Front is easy... rear brace is harder to install (based on others imput)

Really? I didn't know I had to lower it first. Well that's also going on the buying "que" then. And thanks for the help everyone! I'll be thread hunting soon.

yeah there really is no NEED to lower it, but it should help a lot one way or another

why would you make that assumption? just curious?
those are just there to stiffen up the front end and back as well...and thats all.
lowering the ridehight has nothing to do with it, although it does help a lot in cornering and whatnot for sure, and it would help, but i dont see why you would assume that he will lower it right after installing these, and yeah i know we all want to have lowered boxsters, but still

Yes, that's why most people add these after or while doing a lowered suspension, for added suport. That was my reason for asking. You said it too.

well yea, i know that, and so do you, but adding them without lowering will stiffen it up already, as others said, and noticed

but even when you lower it there is still more work to do if you wish, there always is

Ya Ya! We can install hydraulics, lights on the roll-bar, spinners, fuzzy dice, a tow winch, paint the car camo, you know... incorporate EVERY stereotype into the cars and start a new trend! Let me see if I can create an image of this....
