Group Buy: Inner Brake Caliper Seals

i'm rebuilding my brake calipers. i'm doing this because in order to properly powder coat the calipers, one needs to remove the pistons and seals.

at any rate, the inner seals are hard to find. i have found them for about $13 each. That's $52 per caliper! and that doesn't include the dust seals.

anyway, that price seemed absurd to me. i have located a source for bulk purchase, but i'd need to buy at least 100 of each size of seal. that would be good for fifty front and fifty rear calipers worth of seals. i will be using six front / six rear, leaving forty-four calipers worth left over.

does anyone need caliper seals or want to stock them for a rainy day? if so, PM me so we can put together a group buy. i know a lot of people have trouble locating these and the price is usually obnoxious.

approximate pricing, FYI, will be $3 - $4 per seal ($12 - $16 per caliper).

With your experience in this matter... should I be concerned not using BREMBO parts in Brembo calipers? I do like the price of these...

No issue at all; brembo just bus them from someone else. As long as the durometer is the same and they're EPDM seals, they'll work.

FYI, I think Paragon has them now, too.

Appreciate the advice. About to drop off the calipers to be powder coated and was researching the effects of the oven on the inner seals. The powder coat guys says they will melt. So before I did it I was going to make sure I could find and afford the replacements. Thanks a bunch.
